2007, 2008 and 2009 champ Leonard Oats won the 53rd annual Bell Ringing Contest at Union Square, Geary & Powell Streets, San Francisco. The weather was cloudy but not cold. There was a large and enthusiastic crowd.
Conductor Cassandra Griffin became the first woman to participate in the annual Cable Car Bell Ringing Contest at San Francisco's Union Square. She did not get a trophy, but I'm sure she will be back other years.
